Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson to Perform at Inaugural Ball


More stars have been added to the bill for the festivities in honor of Obama.

President Barack Obama's Inaugural Balls are certain to make a splash. Today, the Presidential Inaugural Committee announced still more performers for the already stacked traditional events, which are just days away. Joining the ceremonies are a raft of artists including Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Hudson among others. Previously announced performers include Alicia Keys, Usher, Katy Perry and John Legend.
There are two balls scheduled to take place on the night of Jan. 21 after President Obama is sworn in to office. The Commander-in-Chief's Ball will honor members of the Armed Forces and their families while the more general Inaugural Ball is all-inclusive. Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Marc Anthony, Brad Paisley and Chris Cornell will perform at the Commander-in-Chief's ball. Keys will also perform later at the Inaugural Ball, where she'll be joined by Usher, John Legend, Katy Perry, Far East Movement, FUN,Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Soundgarden and the cast of Glee.
Both ceremonies will take place at the Washington Convention Center and be covered by news networks beginning at 7 P.M. Eastern time. Earlier in the day, select artists including Beyoncé, James Taylor and Kelly Clarkson will perform on the steps of the Capital where crowds will gather as President Obama is inaugurated into his second term.
